Times-2 Speed Files rotate to give twice as much filing  and secure storage in the same space.

What is HIPAA?

When?
Patient Privacy Rule compliance is required on April 14, 2003.

Who Administers HIPAA Enforcement?
The Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR)
has oversight responsibility for HIPAA and would supervise any correction of problems.

What implication does HIPAA have for Times-2?
While much of the HIPAA compliance pertains to the adoption of standards, storage, and
dissemination of electronic data, there are also mandates for the safeguard of physical
storage and maintenance of that data and conventional records.

Times-2 Helps Meet HIPAA Requirements
**Times-2™, like the units shown above, can help you meet HIPAA compliance, providing the necessary security for patient record privacy.
**Times-2
doubles your security. Not only does the entire unit lock, but Times-2 also comes with individually locking security drawers, an additional safeguard.

Federal Register/Vol. 65, No. 250, Section 164.530 –
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) responded to comments on the Administrative Requirements of HIPAA. They state. . .

... Examples of appropriate safeguards include requiring that doors to medical records departments  (or to file cabinets housing such records)  remain  locked,
limiting which personnel are authorized to have the key or pass code.
